Johnson, Baggett team up for titles
Jennings’ Jayln Johnson and Iota’s Allison Baggett have teamed up to help lead their Acadiana Stars 16U basketball team to their third straight state title in Hammond. The team, currently ranked third in the nation, claimed their latest championship on June 12 by defeating the Lady Pride (New Orleans), Lady Heat (Baton Rouge) and Kenner Angels twice to claim the trophy.
The Stars are scheduled to play in the following upcoming College Showcases Tournaments: PBR Premier 64 in Dallas, TX; AAU Nationals in Orlando, FL and Basketball on Bayou in New Orleans.
