Cajun Lessons

On Tuesday, area youth learned about their Cajun heritage as part of the Jeff Davis
Parish Library’s Summer Reading Program. JDP Library Director Dr. Linda Lebert-Corbello, dressed in authentic Cajun attire and read Johnette Downing’s book,
“Today Is Monday” to the children. This year’s program’s theme was “One World, Many Stories” and children of all ages throughout the parish have been exploring places from Oceania to Russia through stories, crafts, music, dance and other activities.
Flyers with the weekly program schedule are available at each branch of the library. Please call Sandy Suydam at 824-1210 or any branch of the Jeff Davis Parish Library for more information.
