Local family welcomes newborn daughter
Laken Brooke Richard and Scott Michel announce the birth of their daughter, Abigail Claire Michel, born at 10:53 a.m. Feb. 7, 2012, at Opelousas General Hospital.
Abigail weighed seven pounds, one and one-half ounces at birth and was 19 inches long.
Maternal grandmother is Paula Richard of Jennings.
Paternal grandparents are Tonya and Claude Savage and Gregory and Katie Michel, all of Simmesport.
Great-grandparents are Hilda Richard of Jennings, David Richard and Ernestine Freeman, both of Hathaway, and James Veal of Innis.
