Fallen Hero
This morning,fallen solider Captain Aaron D. Istre was escorted home. The 37-year-old died March 24 while serving in Kabul, Afghanistan. Istre’s remains were escorted from Chennault in Lake Charles to Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings today, with services honoring his life set for 2 p.m. tomorrow. All area residents are encouraged to fly their flags at half-staff today.
