Fallen Hathaway soldier honored on Memorial Day

Over 60 years later, the family of a Hathaway soldier who was killed in the Battle of the Bulge in 1945, received 12 vintage Gold Star Lapel Buttons that were supposed to be issued at the time of his death.

The family of U.S. Army Pfc. Elroy LeJeune held a special Memorial Day service at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and Cemetery in Iota, the location of LeJeune’s current gravesite.
