JDP, Calcasieu DWI checkpoints result in six arrests

Louisiana State Police Troop D conducted a DWI checkpoint in Jeff Davis Parish Friday and arrested five motorists as a result of the detail.
The checkpoint was conducted on La. 26 to coincide with the holiday weekend. In addition to the five DWI arrests, three citations were issued for open alcoholic container; two were cited for no child restraint; one citation was issued for driving under suspension; two were cited for no driver’s license; four were cited for an expired motor vehicle inspection decal; two citations were issued for wrong address on driver’s license; and one license plate was seized for no proof of insurance.
