Bertrand, Spell united in marriage
Morgan Nicole Bertrand of Elton and Dustin Dale Spell of Moss Bluff were married at 7 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2012, at Point-aux-Loups Springs Ballroom in Iota.
The bride is the daughter of Wendell and Julia Bertrand of Elton and the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Bobby (Linda) Nevils of Lake Charles, Julia D. Bertrand of Elton and the late Malcolm Bertrand.
A 2004 graduate of Elton High School and McNeese State University, she is currently employed as a teacher at Westlake High School.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald (Janet) Spell of Moss Bluff and the grandson of Marie Leger Fewell of Biloxi, Miss., the late Betty Spell, the late Horace Spell and the late Amos Leger.
A 2004 graduate of Sam Houston High School and McNeese State University, he is currently employed as a registered nurse at Christus St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles.
The bride was escorted by her parents.
Maid of honor was Emily Bertrand of Elton.
Matrons of honor were Chelsie B. Tullier of Elton and Tammy S. Barlow of Moss Bluff.
Best man was Caleb Bertrand of Elton.
Groomsmen were Brandon Spell, Jeremy Spell, Ryan Terrell and Chad McCullough, all of Moss Bluff.
Flower girl was Lauren Grace Kinney of Carlyss.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at Point-aux-Loups Springs Ballroom in Iota.
Following a honeymoon trip to Eldorado Royal Resort in the Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple resides in Lake Charles.
