Chief says two house fires are ‘suspicious’

Two house fires that occurred over the weekend are currently being investigated by the state fire marshal’s office to determine if arson was involved.

Although the causes of both fires have yet to be confirmed, Jennings Fire Chief Hulin Theriot said he considers both fires to be “suspicious.” The state fire marshal’s office is looking into both cases to determine if the fires started accidentally or intentionally.
