LAHS band members honored at NSU camp

Lake Arthur High School students earned several honors at the Northwestern State University Colorguard, Percussion and Drum Major Camp this week. The camp was held from Sunday, June 10 through Wednesday, June 13 in Natchitoches.

Griffin Benoit, Senior Drum Major of the Lake Arthur High School Pride and Spirit Band, was selected as the Outstanding Drum Major during the camp. He was selected from over 50 high school drum majors from Louisiana and Texas. Benoit is the son of Whitney and Pam Duplantis of Lake Arthur.

Alaney Charles, Senior Guard Captain of the Lake Arthur High School Pride and Spirit Band Color Guard, was also recognized during the recent camp.
