Police trying to ID early morning shooter

City police are trying to identify the suspect involved in an early morning shooting that left one man injured today.

According to Jennings Police Department Deputy Chief Danny Semmes, the shooting victim, in his late 20s, exited his South Cutting residence at approximately 5 a.m. this morning to retrieve cigarettes from his car. While outside, an encounter took place between the victim and an unidentified suspect.
