CLIFTON, Va. – Funeral services for Richard L. Doan, 67, were held near Clifton, Va., at St. Andrew The Apostle Catholic Church in Virginia.

Burial was in Quantico National Cemetery.

Richard passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on June 11, 2012, after a brief illness.

Richard graduated from LSU and was retired from the Air Force with a rank of major.  He was a native of Welsh, where many of his family members still reside.

He was the beloved husband of Pauline Doan and the devoted father of Matthew and Jeffrey Doan.  He is also survived by three grandchildren,  Ritva, Clove, and Aaden;  his daughter-in-law, Crescent; his siblings, Larry Doan, David Doan and Charlene (Doan) Phenice.
