A mass of Christian burial for Robert Nolan Miller Jr., 46, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at St. Jules Catholic Church in Tee Mamou. Robert will be laid to rest in St. Jules Cemetery. Father Blaine Clement will be officiating his services.
Visitation was held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings today, Tuesday, June 12, from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. followed by a prayer service given by Jeffery Ralston at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, June 13, at 8 a.m. until the time of his funeral service.
Robert was called to meet his Heavenly Father on June 9, 2012.
Robert was a resident of Tee Mamou. He was born on Nov. 23, 1965, to the late Robert Nolan Miller Sr. and Mable Smith Miller Thibodeaux. Robert loved riding motorcycles and boat riding with his family. He also enjoyed other outdoor activities like fishing, camping and hunting. Robert never met a stranger and loved being around people. He enjoyed spending his time with his family and friends, especially his children and grandson.
He is survived by his mother, Mable Smith Miller Thibodeaux and his step-father, Thomas Thibodeaux; three sons, Brandon (Andrea) Miller of Hathaway, Ruston Miller and Aaron Miller, both of Evangeline; two brothers, Johnny (Betty) Miller of Hathaway and Randy (Ashley) Miller of Iowa; five sisters, Debra (Jack) Pytell of Slidell, Jackie Miller of Evangeline, Kathy (Terry) Louviere of Evangeline, Sheila (Paul) Billiot of Breaux Bridge, and Melissa (Dwayne) LeJeune of Dellville, Texas; and one grandson, Zachery Daigle.
Preceding Robert in his death were wife, Vanessa “Totsie” Miller and his father, Robert Nolan Miller Sr.
Carrying Robert to his eternal resting place will be Randy Miller, Johnny Miller, Matthew Bertrand, Glen Miller, Deron Fruge and Larry Honea. Honorary pallbearer will be Dwayne LeJeune.
