Ronald Hughes Broussard
LAKE ARTHUR – Funeral services for Mr. Ronald Hughes Broussard, 64, will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 15, 2012, in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Clyde Thomas officiating.
Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur.
Funeral home visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m., Thursday and will continue from 8 a.m. Friday until time of services.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel.
Mr. Broussard died at 9:15 a.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at his residence.
He was a native of Lake Arthur and lived in the Lake Arthur/Lowry area all his life. He was a graduate of Goretti High School class of 1966. He worked for Amoco, farmed and later worked for a flying service. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Melba Lanthier Broussard of Lake Arthur; three daughters, Evette R. Broussard, Ann (Paul) LeBoeuf and Betty Jo (Mark) Guidry, all of Lake Arthur; two sons, Lonnie D. (Leslie) Broussard of Houston and Royce (Cheryl) Myers of Lake Arthur; three sisters, Juanita ‚“Chip” (Albert) Breaux of Katy, Texas, Sylva “Sue” (Herbert) Adickes of Richmond, Texas and Vickie Dugas and her companion Roger LaFosse of Morse; two brothers, Clifford (Carrie Jean) Broussard of Lake Arthur and Bernie (Brenda) Broussard of Carencro; grandchildren, Cody (Marcie) Adickes, Derrick Adickes and fiancé Michelle Landry, Courtney Guidry, Cody (Nikki) Guidry, Amanda Jackson, Jody Jackson, Kelsey Guidry, Kiley Guidry, Jared (Sharmyn) LeBoeuf, Ashley Myers and Hadley Broussard; and eight great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Guidry Broussard; his father, Cleveland Broussard; his son, Roy Lee Myers; his granddaughter, Brittany Myers; and his great-niece, Kaylee Jade Dugas
