Tips offered for cutting summer utilities

Summer begins next week on Wednesday, June 20. Louisiana heat already means a strain on household utilities, but with children out of school for the summer, even more energy sources are used between the months of June and September.
But the Town of Welsh has a few ideas that it offers residents as a way to not only save on utilities, but also be kinder to nature.
