Celeste G. Doucet
Funeral services honoring the life of Celeste G. “Sally” Doucet, 70, will be held Sunday, July 15, 2012, at 2 p.m., at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings. Sally will be laid to rest in Raymond-Hathaway Community Cemetery with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 14, from 3-10 p.m. at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings, with a rosary recited by Deacon Mike at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Sunday, July 15, at 10 a.m. until the time of her services.
She was called to her Heavenly Father July 8, 2012, at her residence.
Sally was born August 10, 1941, to the late Dolzie M. Gary and the late Anete G. Berry. Sally was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She was a former Girl Scout Leader. She was a homemaker and a great cook who loved to have large Sunday dinners with family and friends. She love to sew, talk on the phone and visit. She devoted her life to her family and friends. The love of her life was her family and especially her grandchildren, Laiha and Christian.
Sally is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Clovis “C.L.” Doucet of Hathaway; two daughters, Julie Doucet Courrege of Hathaway and Rhonda Lynn Doucet (Todd) Bergeaux, also of Hathaway; two beautiful grandchildren, Laiha Lynn Bergeaux and Christian Todd Bergeaux; two sisters, Julia F. Gary and Dorothy “Dot” Hicks, both of Hathaway; and numerous nieces and nephews
Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Dolzie “Crip” Gary and Anete G. and William Berry.
Carrying Sally to her eternal resting place will be Gaylan Belair, Matt Frair, Chris Guinn, Gage Lopez, Donnie Courville, and Ricky “Bozo” Navarre. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Lynn Belair, Jason Harris, Gregory Harris and Lee Harris.
