Jennings Pony All Stars down Erath, 7-5
CROWLEY – The Jennings Pony All Star team won their first-round Pony Regional Championship Tournament game in grand fashion here Wednesday.
Jennings faced Erath in a nine-inning nail-biter that wasn’t decided until the local team’s last at-bat.
In the first inning, Jennings’ Daniel Guillory took the mound and Erath failed to score. Jennings’ bats, however, forced two runs across the plate for the early lead, as Kaleb Chaisson scored on an RBI by Keagan Richard and Joey Scogin scored on a sacrifice fly by Ryan Lachaussee.
Ryan Lachuassee pitched the second, third and fourth innings for Jennings against Erath Wednesday night. The Jennings All-Stars celebrated the extra inning victory to advance to a Saturday afternoon contest.
