Jennings Pony team takes runner-up honors

RAYNE – The Jennings Pony All Star Team finished as the Super Region Runner Up Wednesday after playing a double header. Jennings advanced to the championship game after a convincing win over Mamou, bet fell just short of the title after a 2-1 loss to Crowley.
In the first game of the evening against Mamou, Jennings recorded four runs in the first inning and never relinquished their lead. Kaleb Chaisson scored on an RBI by Keagan Richard; Joey Scogin scored on a sacrifice fly by Ryan Lachaussee; Keagan Richard scored on an RBI by Brant Smith; and Brant Smith scored on a balk by the Mamou pitcher.
