Lavergne unlikely suspect in Jeff Davis Parish murders

Brandon Lavergne, 33, was indicted Wednesday for two homicide cases in Lafayette, but investigators in Jeff Davis Parish say it is unlikely that he is a suspect in the eight unsolved murders of Jennings women that took place between 2005 and 2009.
Jeff Davis Sheriff Ivy Woods said the Multi-Agency Investigative Team (MIAT), the task force assigned to investigate the eight unsolved murders, is not ruling out anyone as a suspect.
