Local man jailed for molestation of juvenile in Acadia Parish

A Jennings man is behind bars in Acadia Parish after investigators there obtained five arrest warrants in his name, including two counts of molestation of a juvenile.

Steven Ray Breaux, 35, of Panchoville Road, was arrested Friday by the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office, said Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon. Jeff Davis authorities then transported Breaux to Acadia, where he was booked for one count of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile; two counts of simple battery on a juvenile; and two counts of molestation of a juvenile. As of press time today, Breaux remained in the Acadia Parish jail with a bond set at $52,000.
