Medicaid transportation cuts limit access to care

After drastic cuts were made to the state’s Medicaid system Friday, Jeff Davis Council On Aging (COA) Executive Director Helen Langley said she is worried that many patients in the parish will lose access to medical care.
Langley said that she believes the cuts made to transportation services would have the greatest impact on the elderly and disabled in Jeff Davis Parish.
