Lake Arthur Cub Scout Pack 96 is holding its annual registration roundup for boys in first through fifth grades starting at 6:30 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Lake Arthur. Some of the activities the pack participated in during the past year were fishing with veterans; riding in parades; donating to Operation Christmas Child; building squirrel feeders; hosting a family campout; attending an air show; competing and winning “Most Spirited Team” in the Lake Arthur Freedom Fest cardboard boat race; touring the Lake Arthur police station, Lake Charles Coast Guard, Chennault Airport and the Jeff Davis Parish Mosquito Control facility; attending two summer day camps; the Jennings area Cub Scout day camp where they participated in archery, bb gun, arts and crafts, water rockets and softball activities; and a USS Orleck Navy Day Camp where they participated in team building activities, learned about the history of the ships and wars and played laser tag. In April, the pack had 10 boys earn their individual ranks along with numerous belt loops. For more information, call Darlene at 277-9806 or Christa at 275-8171.
