Annie Bell Cormier
EUNICE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Annie Bell Cormier, 92, today, Sunday, August 5, 2012, at 1 p.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery in Mowata, with Father Cedric Sonnier, Celebrant.
She passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2012, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loved ones.
Visitation was held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Saturday, August 4, from 2-10 p.m. and will continue today, Sunday, August 5, from 8 a.m. until time of services. Deacon David Guillory recited a Rosary at 7 p.m. Saturday evening.
Annie was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. Precious memories of her will remain forever in the hearts of her children including two sons, Linus (Gerrie) Cormier of Eunice and Henry Lee (Gail) Cormier of Youngsville; three daughters, Lima Jane Kibodeaux of New Iberia, JoAnn (Lynn) Hebert of Spring, Texas, and Brenda (Carlos) Smith of Tee Mamou; two sisters, Adline Babineaux and Wilma (Iceal) LeJeune of Richard. She was blessed with 17 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Lester Cormier; her parents, Constant and Lucille Fux Matte; her brothers, Austin, Louis and Elzie Matte; her sisters, Christine Opry and Elvina LeJeune; a grandson, Brudley Kibodeaux II; and a great-grandson, Brandon Harlow.
