Jeff Davis Parish set to receive federal funding

U.S. Senator Mary L. Landrieu, chair of the Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee, announced Thursday more than $1.2 million for Louisiana to alleviate homelessness and hunger through the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP). Jeff Davis Parish is one area set to receive funds through the program.

A total of $120 million for the EFSP was included in the fiscal year 2012 Homeland Security Appropriations bill, which Landrieu authored.
