LA forms merchant association

A group of downtown business owners and concerned residents are forming a new merchants association in an effort to unite the community and bring in new visitors to the Lake Arthur area.
“The purpose of the organization is to promote the welfare of its membership and to promote improvements and civic pride in the community, as well as work to keep members informed on matters of community concern,” said Merchants Association president and local business owner Joanna LeJeune.
