Pirmin J. Theunissen
JENNINGS – Funeral services for Mr. Pirmin J. Theunissen, 76, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2012, in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating.
Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 2-10 p.m. Monday, August 20, 2012, at the funeral home and from 8 a.m. Tuesday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel.
Mr. Theunissen died at 8:33 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2012, in Jennings American Legion Hospital.
Mr. Theunissen was a native of Rayne and a resident of Jennings for 53 years. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 50 years. He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church.
Mr. Theunissen is survived by his wife, Velda Guidry Theunissen of Jennings; three sons, Stephen Theunissen and wife Carole of Abbeville, David Theunissen and fiance’ Daphne of Monroe, and Michael Theunissen and wife Kim of Baton Rouge; three daughters, Denise Theunissen of Lake Charles, Mary LaFleur and husband Bentley of Lafayette, and Ann Johnson and husband Jay of Wilmington, N.C.; three brothers, Bernan Theunissen and Gerald “Jerry” Theunissen, both of Jennings, and Julo Theunissen of Deer Park, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; three great-grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; and a former daughter-in-law, Angie Theunissen of Lake Arthur.
