Reader Decides To Become Involved

Dear Editor,

I have decided to get in the game. I have decided not to be a benchwarmer on the sidelines. I have decided now is the time to stand up and speak up instead of being unseen and unheard. I have decided the stakes are too high to be silent. I have decided not to be intimidated by being called a ‘bigot’ and a ‘hater’ because I am not. I have decided to be courageous and not cowardly. I have decided to be compassionately concerned and energetically engaged. I have decided to counter the lie with the truth. I have decided I’m not going to worry what others think of me. Instead, I’m going to help those who can’t speak for themselves, those who can’t fend for themselves, those who are not fortunate enough to play a on a level playing field. I have decided to get involved in the political, spiritual and social realms of reality. I have decided to fight the good fight. I have decided to throw caution to the wind. I have decided to show up. I have decided to make a difference.

Yes, indeed, I have decided.
