Reader Shares Views on Tax System
Dear Editor,
Who dunnit?
Who builds the highways? The government does! Is that why they are so dirty?
Well, this present government seems to be on the public taxpayers dole and flying everywhere free. The public pays not only for their choices but also for their exorbitant ways. Taxpayers should pay more attention also to their deeds of time consumption.
Many in this younger generation seem to bring into the workforce lax work ethics and an attitude that they have a right to start at the top rather than working their way up from the bottom.
The belief of being prosperous and inventing new ideas and new objects that advance science and technology belongs to them and they desire their fair share without lifting a finger.
Getting rich must be equally shared and the government should step in to see monies are distributed equally as we float through life while keeping up appearances which are of utmost importance.
Changing to a better tax system like the equal burden of a flat tax would be a way of simplifying our contributions to society, but also would eliminate some jobs of statue and save on paper.
Changing to a new, simpler tax system is scary and even though it is better, change in itself is the problem.
Eat sour grapes.
