ABOB fundraising efforts to kick off film festival with “The 39 Steps”

A Block Off Broadway’s (ABOB) President of the Board Scott Lewis says the fundraising efforts to help install a new digital projector in the Strand Theater are going strong.
ABOB is working to raise around $20,000 to restore movie projecting abilities to the 73-year-old theater.

Tickets for A Block of Broadway’s production of “The 39 Steps” go on sale Monday, Sept. 17. Two evening performances are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 22 and Saturday, Sept. 29 at 7 p.m., while two matinees are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sept. 23 and 30. Tickets can be purchased at the Strand Theatre box office on weekdays from 5-7 p.m. or by credit card by calling 821-5509. Tickets will also be available at the door.
