Aline Mallet
WELSH – Funeral services for Aline Mallet, 87, will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh. Father Charles McMillan will officiate.
Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, from 3-10 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m., and will resume Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 8 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery.
She passed away Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, in a care center.
She was a member of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. She was the assistant manager of cafeteria workers for Welsh Elementary for 33 years and loved playing bingo and going to the casinos.
She is survived by her son, Barry Mallet of Welsh; a daughter, Barbara Mallet of Welsh; her grandchildren, Tresa Hornsby (Lisa Martin), Mitchel (Heather) Hornsby, and Wesley Mallet; her great-grandchildren, Emma and Carson Hornsby; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Mallet; her parents, Paul and Oline Landry; her brother, Allen Landry; and her sister, Ella Broussard.
