EUNICE – The Jennings Bulldogs had many self-inflicted wounds in Eunice Friday night for the annual Dog-Cat fight. The Bulldogs shot themselves in the foot numerous times. They lost two fumbles, had a punt blocked, threw an interception, and had a touchdown called back because of a penalty. The first fumble may have been the most costly, with the Bobcats falling on the loose pigskin in the end zone with Jennings leading 7-3 early in the second frame. Eunice did not take the lead until the end of the contest with 2:13 left on the clock. The Cats held off a furious Bulldog rally ending with them getting their fourth and final turnover of the night with the interception of a Bulldog pass in the end zone with 13 ticks on the clock to preserve their 28-21 win.

Eunice received the opening kickoff and the Maroon Wall promptly forced them to three and out. Following a booming 44-yard punt, the Dogs put the ball in play at their 9-yard line. Ten plays later the Dogs finished the long drive when Charlie Matte went into the end zone from the 1-yard line. Seth Cox kicked the first of 3 extra points to give them a 7-0 lead with just over 6 minutes left in the opening stanza.
