ELTON – The Kinder Yellow Jackets used a strong ground game behind Marshall Harmon in taking a 39-12 victory over the Elton Indians on Saturday night.

The Indians (0-1) took control of the ball on the first possession as they drove down the field behind the play of quarterback Carson Ortego and running back Micah Lavan.  The Indians were able to convert three first downs on the drive but were unable to gain the fourth, turning the ball over on downs.  The Yellow Jackets were unable to score on their first drive, but were able to convert on their second.  Harmon put the Yellow Jackets in excellent field position when he ran 66 yards to get to the Indians’ five yard line. One play later, Wanterio Frank scored on a 5-yard run to take an early 7-0 lead.

The Elton offense struggled in the second half against visiting Kinder to drop their first contest of the season, but hope to rebound this Friday when they visit East Beau.
