Kenneth James Broussard
A memorial service to honor Kenneth James Broussard, 59, of Welsh, will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at 4 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Welsh. Father Whitney Miller will officiate.
Ken passed away on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012.
“Kenny B”, as he was known by many, was born and raised in Jennings, and was a 1971 graduate of Goretti High School. He always had a love of airplanes and flying, and he was a crop-duster for Riceland Aviation in Jennings for many years. He never met a stranger, and always had a smile on his face. His love for his children was always evident to them and everyone around them. He also had a tremendous love for his grandsons, who referred to him as “Daddy Ken”.
He is survived by his three children, Eric (Jessica) Broussard, Leslie (Braden) King, and Weston Broussard; his sisters, Sharla (Artie) Miller, Sherry (Kyle) Jackson; and his grandchildren, Landen Broussard, Owen Broussard, Collyn King and Evan King. He was awaiting the arrival of his first granddaughter, Ava King, over the next few weeks. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins whom he loved very much.
Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Dot Broussard; his father, Harvey Broussard; and his sister Marlene Broussard.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First United Methodist Church, 306 N. Adams Street in Welsh.
