Lest We Forget
Dear Editor,
On the front page of the Sept. 11, 2012 edition the Jennings Daily News, there is a picture of the parish courthouse flying the flag at half-mast. On order of the governor, all public buildings will lower flags in honor of the lost defenders of our rights.
I thought the building across the street was a public building, the school board office. But it must not be, because they never fly the flag. Shame, shame.
The Korean War is known as the “forgotten war.” The veterans haven’t forgot and they vote.
