Melissa Doise walk for breast cancer to hit the streets of Jennings Oct. 27

The Melissa Doise Hope for the Miracle 5K Run/Walk will hit the streets of Jennings for the third year on Saturday, Oct. 27. Organizers are hoping to raise enough money this year to continue the support of the breast cancer victims in Jeff Davis Parish.
Last year’s race brought in a total of around $15,000, according to organizer Kim Precht. Organizers are hoping to top that number this year.
Jennings Mayor Terry Duhon purchases his tickets from organizer Tom Precht Wednesday for the benefit raffle for the Melissa Doise Hope for the Miracle 5K Run/Walk scheduled to hit the streets of Jennings for the third year on Saturday, Oct. 27. The tickets cost $2 each and the winner will win a framed Drew Brees autographed jersey.
