Parish must find funds to repair bridges closed by the state

By ALLISON CRYER

Daily News Staff Writer

Jeff Davis Police Jurors will have to come up with a plan to repair several bridges in the parish after state inspectors made the decision recently to close five bridges in the parish and list six others as critical.

The closures include bridges on DeWolf Road and Bebee Road, both near Fenton; Bryan Road and Ardoin Road, both near Hathaway; and Ardoin Cove Road in the Welsh area. Administrative Road Supervisor Sherwin LeFranc said the bridges were closed indefinitely after a team of state bridge inspectors found structural damage.
