Peace not war
Dear Editor,
We went into a country without their government’s permission in the dark of night. There we killed a man and some of his family without this country’s permission or even a trial in a court of law. Then we dumped his body into the ocean without a religious burial.
This is what this mob violence overseas is about. We do not respect their beliefs or their rules of law as we out dumb them.
The 9/11 attack on the trade center is a reminder that flexing one’s muscle in today’s world in another country is not a proper approach.
While we do not agree with their laws or their religious beliefs, we should shy away from demanding they change into ours in their own country.
Their form of government was here about a couple of thousands of years before ours. Changing their ways must come through patience and a show of respect with a charitable hand.
Change will not come by demanding, but by extending a hand of proven friendship and demonstrating kindness as we help those in need and not forcing our living habits.
Time means nothing to a hog!
