Public asked to help find hit-and-run suspect

Police are still looking for any information that could help locate the suspect in a hit-and-run that ended the life of a 40-year-old Gueydan woman at the Gueydan Duck Festival over the past weekend.

On Tuesday, Aug. 28, Amy Darlene Breaux, 40, died in a local hospital from injuries sustained in a hit-and-run that took place while she and another person were walking back to their car on LA 14 from the festival on Saturday. The two were reportedly struck by a small white car, according to Louisiana State Police. The other victim remains hospitalized with unknown injuries.
