The 39 Steps

   Local actors have been rehearsing for A Block Off Broadway’s humorous stage adaptation of one of Alfred Hitchcock’s very first films, “The 39 Steps.” This scene, which takes place at the music hall includes actors (from left) Jason Onellion as Richard Hannay, Amber Breaux as Annabella Schmidt, David Janise as Compere and Terry LeJeune as Mr. Memory. Tickets go on sale Monday, Sept. 17. Two evening performances are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 22 and Saturday, Sept. 29 at 7 p.m., while two matinees are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sept. 23 and 30. Tickets can be purchased at the Strand Theatre box office on weekdays from 5-7 p.m. or by credit card by calling 821-5509. Tickets will also be available at the door.
