Third Annual Jennings Lions Club Triathlon

Last Sunday, 61 men, women and children participated in the third annual Jennings Lions Club “We TRI for those who can’t” Triathlon. Participants swam, biked and ran for prizes and bragging rights. The overall winner was Charlie Dixon. Dixon also claimed the men’s title, as well. Marie Belanger took the individual women’s title. The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office and Jennings Fire Department sponsored the event. Funds raised from the Triathlon help the Jennings Lions Club continue with community projects, along with providing assistance to the Louisiana Lions Camp for youth who have diabetes, pulmonary disorders and mental and physical challenges.
