Tommy D. LaBove
It’s with heavy hearts that the family of Tommy D. LaBove Sr. announces his passing from this life on Sept. 20, 2012. He was 57 years old. Funeral services will be held at the Jesus Worship Center in Jennings on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at 2 p.m. to honor his life. Tommy will be laid to rest in Istre Cemetery with Rev. Clifton LeJeune officiating his services.
Visitation will be held at the Jesus Worship Center on Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and resume on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 8 a.m. until the time of his services.
Born as Thomas D. LaBove on June 11, 1955, to the late Evelia LaBove, he worked as a painter until his retirement. He enjoyed going hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed writing poems and he even wrote a song called “Knocking on Heaven’s Door”.
Tommy is survived by his beloved wife, Connie Deaville LaBove of Jennings; one son, Thomas Davis LaBove Jr.; four step-children, Harold Fruge, David Fruge, Racquel Fruge and Jamie Fruge, all of Jennings; his brother, John Miller of Welsh; two sisters, Peggie Adams of Scott and Barbara Connor of Tyler, Texas; and his nine grandchildren, Merissa, Brittany, Brandon, Shawn, Gage, Katlynn, Dillon, Bethany and Cody. Tommy was also the proud godfather of Shawn and Gage.
Tommy now rests in Heaven with his beloved mother, Evelia; and two brothers, Herman “Red” Monceaux and Noris LaBove.
Carrying Tommy to his eternal resting place in Istre Cemetery will be Robert Adams, Nick Spell, Harold Fruge, John Miller and Glenny Adams.
