WELSH-Several big plays helped propel the Welsh Greyhounds to a 26-21 win over the Kinder Yellow Jackets in their 4-2A district opener Thursday, including a goal line stand by the Hound defense with 29 seconds left to preserve the win.
With two minutes remaining in the first half, the Hound defense also forced a fumble at the Welsh seven yard with Welsh’s Will Heinen recovering the football. Another fumble recovery by Justin Meyer at the Kinder 42 led to a Welsh score.
