Terrorists, on the 9/11 anniversary, went into the embassy in Cairo, Egypt and tore down and burned the American flag, replacing it with the Al Qaeda terrorist flag. There were apparently no American personnel there at the time, but I am unsure why. Since there was no response from anyone, they figured they would increase the temperature to make sure we understood their position. So, they sent armed terrorists into the consulate in Syria and killed the American Ambassador to Syria, along with three others.
The response that came out of the embassy was an apology to Islam for defaming their religion. This supposedly was all caused by a film, made and financed by some Jewish residents of this country and the low budget film ridicules Mohammed, the Islamic god.
I can promise you, if we had a leader in the White House who had the chestnuts of Ronald Reagan, there would have been an immediate response to the desecration of our flag in Cairo, and the cowards in Syria would have not raised their ugly heads. I have said it before, and I will say it again, we have no leadership in the White House. The “king’s” immediate response was an apology, but of course he was quick to cover that tale by saying that the response from the consulate was not approved by the White House. When the uproar of the American people began to rain down on the phone lines and e-mail accounts in Washington, he was quick to backtrack, and has since sent a couple of U.S. Naval vessels to the area. Politics at its finest.
Speaking of politics, you probably noticed that the unemployment numbers went down during the last month. You haven’t seen anything yet; watch for October numbers to drop to 7.9 or 7.8 leading in to the November election. There will be no mention of people who have stopped looking for work or have run out of eligibility for unemployment compensation (they have used all 99 weeks of compensation), but you can bet that the unemployment figures will be below 8.0 just in time for the election.
Though true unemployment figures are hovering around the 14-16 percent and higher, you won’t hear those reports coming from anyone whose check is signed by Obama. Between now and the November election, truth will be as scarce as teeth on a rooster. I wish I could tell you where to go to seek facts about candidates, parties, and platforms, but both liberal and conservative will lie through their teeth to get your vote. Truth won’t be found, but they will tell you what they think you want to hear, just like any good used car salesman.
I will tell you the truth. The 550 or so so-called leaders in Washington have no interest in the welfare of any of us. They are out to write their own tickets to easy street and the only time you will have their attention is during election time. “King” Obama doesn’t have time to sit down with Israel, but he has time to do the top ten reasons on the David Letterman Show. He doesn’t have the time to attend the daily intelligence briefings which keep him abreast of world situations (he has attended less than half since taking office), but he does have time to spend more than 600 hours playing golf.
You can have your hope and change. I’m voting for the businessman – community organizer just doesn’t qualify to run the greatest nation in the world.
