Arrest made regarding impounded vehicle

A Basile woman was arrested over the weekend for trespassing after she tried to retrieve items from her vehicle that had been impounded.
Jeff Davis Sheriff’s Office (JDSO) deputies arrested Stevie Reed, 20, of 119 Pear Street in Basile, on Saturday, October 20, and charged her with criminal trespassing, according to JDSO Criminal Investigations Commander Christopher Ivey.
