Audrey Foreman Myers
It is with great sadness that the family of Audrey Foreman Myers announces her passing from this life on Oct. 19, 2012, while in the comfort of her home. Funeral services will be held at Bethel Baptist Church in Jennings on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at 10 a.m., in celebration of her beautiful life. Mrs. Myers will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery. Rev. Blaine St. Germaine will be officiating her services.
Visitation will be held today, Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, from 2-9 p.m. and resume on Monday at 8 a.m. until the time of her services at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings.
Audrey Foreman was born in Crowley to the late Bruce Foreman and the late Eula Edith Foreman on March 7, 1928. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping, reading, going to church, and she loved her dog Sparkles.
Audrey is survived by her son, Randall Keith Myers (fiancé Sharon Breaux) of Jennings; five daughters, Bonnie (Eward) Gotte of Gott’s Cove, Aline (Wilbert) Miller of Gott’s Cove, Sherry Gatte, of Gott’s Cove, Judith Griner of Jennings, and Sandra (Donald Sr.) Sonnier of Jennings; her 26 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; and her special caregivers, Donna Simon, Tiffany Cameron and Sharon Breaux.
Audrey now rests in Heaven with her beloved family who preceded her in death: her parents, Bruce and Eula Foreman; her husband, John Myers; three sons, William, Russell Wayne and John Raymond Myers; two daughters, Betty Joyce Powell and Cynthia Gail Reed; her grandchildren, Curtis Jack Powell “Mark”, Kimerley Hatten and Gwendalyn Powell; one great-grandchild, Eric Hadden; her sons-in-law, Austin Wayne Gatte Sr., Jack Powell Sr. and Thomas Reed; and her daughter-in-law, Marliana Myers.
Carrying Audrey to her eternal resting place will be Donald “T-Don” Sonnier II, Russell “T-Boy” Sonnier, Joseph Quincy Gatte, Wilbert “Will” Miller Jr., Justin Reed, Devin Miller, Wedley Courville and Dean Lopez.
The Myers family would like to extend a special thank you to Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care, and also Debbie from Home Health for the wonderful care they have shown to the family.
