City to hold final vote on property tax millage rate adjustments

Jennings City Council members will vote next week on two ordinances necessary to adjust, as well as to roll forward millage rates on property for the 2012 tax year.
The council will vote on the ordinances at their regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9. The first measure, Ordinance No. 1667 would set the adjusted tax rates on property in the parish, which assessed every four years by the tax assessor’s office.
