It is with great sadness that the family of Mrs. Deanna Rose Young announces her passing from this life on Oct. 18, 2012. She was 72 years of age. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Raymond on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at 10 a.m. honoring her life. Mrs. Deanna will be laid to rest in Doucet Cemetery. Deacon Mike Tramel will be officiating her services.
Visitation will be held today, Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, from 3-9 p.m., with a rosary recited by Deacon Mike Tramel at 7 p.m. at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings. Visitation will resume on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 8 a.m. until the time of her funeral mass.
Deanna Rose was born to the late Leo Young and the late Pauline Manuel Young on May 15, 1940. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to taking care of her beloved husband, the late Duplice Joe Young, and raising her children. She enjoyed cooking, going to church and spending time with her beautiful grandchildren.
Deanna is survived by her three sons, Bernie Young, Ricky Young and Danny (Suzanne) Young, all of Hathaway; one grandson, Cody Young, of Hathaway; her two great-grandchildren, Cortlin and Abby Young, both of Hathaway; and her sister, Janice (Dale) Fontenot of Moss Bluff.
Deanna now rests in Heaven with her beloved family who preceded her in death: her parents, Leo and Pauline Young; and her husband, Duplice J. Young.
