Elton considers honoring two longtime educators

ELTON – The high school principal here is asking the town to back a request to rename Thomas Street in honor of two longtime Jeff Davis Parish (JDP) educators and community leaders.
Elton High Principal Danielle Simien addressed the Elton Town Council this week with the request to honor Wesley and Geraldine Livingston, whose home is on Thomas Street. Simien said she would like to see the town rename that roadway as Livingston Street.
