Two Jennings Police Department (JPD) officers and a Jennings Fire Department (JFD) firefighter were honored Thursday for their efforts that led to saving the life of a woman in a serious car accident.

JPD officers Bryan Foti and Blake Bergeaux and firefighter Cody Courville were honored at the Louisiana Oil and Gas Park Thursday for saving the life of Velda Theunissen, who was seriously injured in a car accident in August. Her husband, Pirmin Theunissen, died as a result of the accident, but JPD Police Chief Todd D’Albor said the quick response of the three men was the reason her life was saved.
