ELTON – Funeral services for Geraldine Breaux Livingston, 85, will be held today, Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at 4 p.m. at Elton High School in Elton. Burial will be in Eternal Rest Cemetery in Elton. Rev. Freddie Jack will conduct the funeral ceremony.
Visitation will be observed from 2-4 p.m. today, Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at Elton High School located at 903 Second St. in Elton.
On Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, time drew back the curtain and brought to a close, the end of day for our beloved Geraldine.
Mourning her departure, yet cherishing fond memories of her, will be her loving husband of 64 years, Wesley Lloyd Livingston Sr. of Elton; six daughters, Deborah L. (William) Clark of Baton Rouge, Acquanetta M. Livingston, Sybyl L. (Lester) Coleman, Avis R. Livingston and Mildred L. (Edward) Smith, all of Lake Charles, and Venessa G. (Ricky) Livingston-Cormier of Elton; one daughter-in-law, Toni Livingston of Houston, Texas; one step-daughter-in-law, Geraldine Joseph of New Iberia; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and two step-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, former students and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Isadore and Mildred Breaux Sr.; one son, Wesley Livingston Jr.; one step-son, Donald Joseph; one sister, Melanie Breaux; and one brother, Isadore Breaux Jr.
Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
