HHS seniors to host benefit for local family

HATHAWAY – A group of Hathaway students are trying to help one family in their community recover after losing their mother to breast cancer in September.

Claudette Daigle, 47, of Hathaway lost her battle with breast cancer on Friday, Sept. 21. She left behind her husband Ellis Daigle and their blended family of eight children who are now trying to figure out how they will get by without her.

Hathaway High School seniors Tyler Lopez and Alex Broussard are working with their classmate, Mattie Daigle, to raise funds to defray medical expenses the family of Claudette Daigle, who lost her battle with breast cancer in September.
